The Whole Foods Market in Tribeca (270 Greenwich Street) is introducing the new launch of Wellness Clubs to provide customers with a more extensive education on whole foods and making positive lifestyle changes.

This new program offers Whole Food’s shoppers with a beneficial wellness list compiled of classes, discounts and even cooking demos!  Becoming a member includes: 10% discount on a wide variety of healthy foods, Supper Club discount, unlimited classes in cooking, nutrition & healthier lifestyle choices, access to a growing local network of businesses that promote health and well-being, cooking demos and community events.

There is even an option to hire a wellness coach based on your personal desires and health goals. The coaching list includes cooking and nutrition guidance through private shopping tours, tips on stocking a healthier pantry and assistance creating a personalized meal plan.

Whole Food’s philosophy is definitely based on: You are what you eat!  That’s why they also offer Supper Clubs- a healthy dine-in or take-out meal, for those who don’t have time to cook.

Other Wellness Club benefits include recipe access, nutrition seminars and discounts with some of their partnerships like yoga studios and other well-being organizations, which still seems to be in the works.

Interested in signing up?  Monthly dues run about $45, but there’s an option to try before you buy.  You can take a single class or attend a weekend event that incorporates cooking demos and classes.  If eating healthy and learning more about nutrition is important to you, this may definitely be worth the investment.  The Wellness Club offers a wonderful opportunity to become connected to a network of health and wellness professionals.  It’s also a great way to learn the navigation of buying and cooking with more whole foods, as well as becoming better educated on food nutrition.
